Feeding Folk Spring Benefest to support Nelsonville Food Cupboard

NEW MARSHFIELD, Ohio (WOUB) – ClayStar Studios will present the Feeding Folk Spring Benefest on Friday at Uncle Buck’s Riding Stable and Dance Barn (73930 Buck Ln.), bringing together regional musicians, local businesses, and community members to support the Nelsonville Food Cupboard.

The fundraiser will take place from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature live music, raffle prizes, and food, with all proceeds benefiting the Nelsonville Food Cupboard and its efforts to provide food assistance throughout Athens County and surrounding communities.

Organizers describe the event as a community-centered evening designed to celebrate local music while helping address food insecurity in the region.

Admission will operate on a pay-what-you-can basis, and attendees who donate at least $10 will receive a free raffle ticket.

The Spring Benefest lineup will feature performances from several local and regional acts throughout the evening. Find the schedule for performances below.

The Tom Show – 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Landon Ross – 4:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Brandon Wolf – 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Captain Chucke & the Cadillac South – 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Willow Jayne & the Lazy Day – 7 p.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Larry Elefante – 8 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.

Chris Michael & the Andrews – 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Additional support for the event has been provided by several local businesses and organizations, including Stuart’s Opera House and the Nelsonville Music Festival, along with Bean’s Mama Renie’s, Knight & Day Bistro Buffet, Mae-Lynn Makers Studio, L’heureux Properties, Alfonso’s Italian Bakery, Attitudes & Company, Shriver’s Pharmacy, Los Mariachis, Little Italy in Nelsonville, and Sonic in Nelsonville.

The Nelsonville Food Cupboard serves families and individuals throughout Athens County and the surrounding area. Households with annual incomes at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines are eligible to receive assistance from the pantry once per month. The pantry is located at 1950 Mount Saint Mary’s Drive in Nelsonville and is open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m.
