Meigs County Inmate Found Dead in Jail

An inmate at the Meigs County jail was found dead Wednesday morning says the Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood.
Sheriff Wood says that all inmates were transported to surrounding facilities until the investigation is completed.
The inmate's name and the cause of his death will not be released until the end of the investigation.
The investigation is being carried out by the Meigs County Coroner in conjunction with the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
Sheriff Wood said that due to the ongoing nature of the incident no further information was available at this time.
