UPDATE: Power Restored To Over 1,000 AEP Ohio Customers In Perry County

UPDATE 5:00 PM: Power has been restored to all American Electric Power customers in Perry County who were without power Monday afternoon.

An AEP Ohio Spokewoman said that power was shut off Monday afternoon in order for crews to remove a tree near a substation.

Approximately 1,076 customers are affected, according to AEP Ohio’s Outage Map.


Over 1,000 Americal Electric Power customers in Perry County are without electricity.

An AEP Ohio Spokewoman said that power was shut off Monday afternoon in order for crews to remove a tree near a substation.  The location of the substation was not immediately available.

AEP Ohio’s Outage map indicates that approximately 1,076 customers are affected.

Officials say that service is expected to be restored by 4:35 p.m. Monday.
