< < Back to woub-alumnus-brian-unger-new-showBrian Unger, a WOUB alumnus, has been a major success in television since leaving Ohio University. Now he is about to launch yet another new show – Time Traveling with Brian Unger on the Travel Channel.
Unger is known to be a media innovator.
This new show brings to light little know historical facts about American cities and places. Unger said the show is “funformative” and a “historic thrill ride.” He also says it is where the past and present collide.
New computer graphic technology is used in the show to bring history to life. New 4-D cameras are also used to give the highest degree of video quality, according to Unger.
Unger is an experience producer, commentator, host, actor and comedian. He has been named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment by Entertainment Weekly.
He was part of the team that launched “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central and his other credits include: “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Some Assembly Required,” and “How the States Got Their Shapes” for the History Channel.
Unger, who gave the Ohio University 2006 Commencement Address, has been a long-time supporter of WOUB and Ohio University.
He talks with WOUB’s Tom Hodson about his new show and the importance of WOUB to his overall career.
