Two Wellston Men Charged With Arson Of Hamden Bar
< < Back to two-wellston-men-charged-arson-hamden-barTwo Wellston men have been arrested and charged with arson in connection to the Tuesday morning fire at Teazer's Bar on Route 93 in Vinton County.
Rickie Lee Ross, 57, and Joshua Lee Ross, 24, were charged with allegedly setting fire to Teazer's Bar, along with complicity to commit arson, tampering with evidence and felony obstruction, according to a Vinton County Sheriff's office report.
Witnesses to the fire had called the sheriff's office upon seeing someone running away from the scene. Hamden Police Chief Charles Boyer reportedly then detained a person matching witness descriptions.
The State Fire Marshal's Office responded to the fire alongside Hamden and McArthur Fire Departments. The Marshal's Office confirmed early in the investigation that it determined the fire was an arson.
Vinton County Sheriff Shawn Justice could not be reached Wednesday on whether investigators have yet determined a motive.
Rickie Lee Ross and Joshua Lee Ross were both taken to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and will reportedly appear for a bond hearing Thursday.
