Update, Aug. 28, 4:35 p.m.: Greg Windham and Larenzo Fisher have been arraigned, and both have entered a plea of not guilty to their indictments of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs.

According to a press release from the Athens County Prosecuting Attorney, Judge George P. McCarthy set Windham's bond at $2,500 with 10% allowed and scheduled a jury trial for Nov. 2, 2013. McCarthy set Fisher's bond at $10,000 with 10% allowed and scheduled a jury trial for Nov. 5, 2013.

The Ohio University Police Dept. arrested Ohio University football players Larenzo Fisher and Greg Windham Wednesday, first reported by The Post and Jason Arkley of the Athens Messenger.

A statement by the Ohio Athletic Dept. confirmed that Fisher, a junior cornerback and Windham, a redshirt freshman quarterback, were “suspended indefinitely” after being arrested on fourth-degree felony drug trafficking charges.

According to a police report issued by the OUPD, the warrant charged Fisher with four counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs.

In another police report, a warrant charged Windham with one count of Aggravated Trafficking of Drugs.

According to Ohio State Law, each count is a fourth degree felony and could result in a fine of up to $5,000 and/or a prison sentence of up to 18 months for each count.

The warrants were the result of ongoing drug investigations by both the Ohio University Police Dept. and the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office.

The charges on Fisher and Windham come from the alleged sale of MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy or molly) in April and May of this year.

Fisher, a starter and a two-year contributor for the Bobcats, was already facing a two-game suspension for an off-season misdemeanor assault charge.

Windham was locked in a battle for the third spot on the depth chart for the quarterback position.
