The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says crews arrived at the Whitewater Township home – near Cincinnati – on Saturday after a Cleves man said his wife was passed out in the bathtub and his 4-month-old grandson was not breathing.
Police say emergency responders performed CPR on the infant. He was taken to a Cincinnati hospital where he is in critical condition.
Emergency responders administered Narcan to the 42-year-old woman, who was unresponsive when they arrived.
Police say she admitted to using heroin before babysitting the child. She was arrested Saturday night and charged with felony child endangerment. She is due in court on Monday.
