Alexander’s Lukas Thompson’s spectacular one-handed grab highlighted the team’s gritty win over River Valley. Mason Chapman’s play was not as visually dazzling, but his stat line was. The senior finished with 145 yards and three touchdowns.

Zacciah Saltzman put the team on his shoulders, accumulating 304 rushing yards and seven touchdowns during Athens’s must-win game against Meigs on Friday.
3.) Meigs Marauders 5-2 (3-1) | Last Rank: 1 | Next Opponent: Jackson
Thanks to Saltzman, the Marauders allowed a season-high 49 points. They had not allowed north of 27 prior to the match-up.

The Raiders didn’t take care of the ball and it cost them dearly against Alexander. The Spartans scored 14 points off of Raider turnovers.

Wellston’s ground-and-pound offense was on display during its 46-20 rout of Nelsonville-York. Nick Cox and Forrest Hale combined for 254 yards on the ground.

The Buckeyes have not held an opponent under 32 points since their 23-12 week four loss to River Valley.

The Vikings took full advantage of it match-up against winless Federal Hocking, hanging a whopping 53 points on the Lancers. It marked only the second time Vinton County accumulated a double-digit point total.
