Ohio Wrestling Ranked #2 in MAC Preseason Poll
< < Back to ohio-wrestling-ranked-2-in-mac-preseason-pollBased on the 2015-2016 individual weight class rankings released by the MAC wrestling coaches, the Bobcats earned the #2 spot with 16 points, behind the three-time defending MAC champions in the Missouri Tigers.
Seven Ohio wrestlers earned a top four spot in their respective weight classes. Kevon Powell earned the #4 spot in the 133 weight class. In the 149 and 157 weight classes, Tywan Claxton and Spartak Chino both earned the #3 rank. Cody Walters is ranked the #1 wrestler in the 174 weight class. Andrew Romanchik is ranked the #3 wrestler in the 184 weight class. In the 197 weight class, Phill Wellington is ranked in the #2 spot. In the heaavyweight class, Ohio’s Jesse Webb is ranked in the #3 spot.
The Bobcats’ season starts on Nov. 7 when they compete in the Eastern Michigan Duals.
