Separate Circleville Traffic Stops Lead To Drug Arrests

Two separate traffic stops on two different nights led to arrests involving prescription drugs and methamphetamine, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Angel L. Jayne, 39, of New Holland, was stopped by park rangers about 7:45 p.m. Friday near Deer Creek State Park, where chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine were discovered in her vehicle.
According to Sheriff Robert Radcliff, Jayne was arrested, and deputies from his department along with members of the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force were called in to neutralize the material and process the vehicle.
Jayne is being held in the Pickaway County Jail awaiting arraignment on her charges.
In the earlier incident, Deputy Shad Wright initiated a traffic stop in Williamsport about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, where he discovered Erica Fowler, 41, recently of Virginia.
Radcliff said Fowler admitted she had just sold about 16 Percocet pills to a male subject in the village, and she still had 96 of the prescription pills in her possession.
Because her 17-year-old daughter was in the vehicle with her, Fowler is charged with trafficking drugs in the vicinity of a minor, a second-degree felony. Fowler has been released on bond to await further hearings in her case.
