Ohio University College of Fine Arts Dean Resigns

In an email to students, faculty, and staff of the college, Provost Pam Benoit says Dr. Peg Kennedy-Dygas “has made a personal decision to pursue other interest.” She will return to the college in the fall of 2016 as a tenured professor of music.
Benoit says the university will begin a national search for find a permanent replacement in the fall of 2016. In the meantime, Dr. Elizabeth Sayrs will serve as interim dean of the College of Fine Arts (COFA). Sayrs is currently the dean of University College and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. Dr. Peter Mather will replace Sayrs as interim dean of University College while she temporarily heads up the college.
Kennedy-Dygas served as dean starting in May 2013.
