Water Victim Drive Moving Forward for Albany Church
< < Back to ?p=15413An Albany church is proceeding with its effort to support remaining water contamination victims even though some customers of West Virginia American Water company are seeing their water service restored.
Christ Community Wesleyan Church near Albany began a drive for water and paper products Sunday.
As of Monday the church lobby turned into a staging area for those items.
Church Pastor Denver Dodrill said those still without water have to be careful as some have gotten blisters on their skin just by coming into contact with the chemical in the water.
Items needed are:
Paper bowls, plates, cups
Sanitary wipes
Anti-bacterial gel
Gallon jugs of water
Lyn Richard of Christ Community said the plan is to take the items to West Virginia Wednesday even though service was restored to some water customers Monday.
