< < Back to marijuana-seizureState troopers in Ohio have arrested an Oregon man after finding 32 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop in northeast Ohio.
The State Highway Patrol says they stopped the 44-year-old driver for failing to signal along the Ohio Turnpike on Wednesday afternoon.
The patrol says a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the vehicle. The marijuana, worth about $144,000, was found in the trunk during a search of the 1996 Mercedes.
The man was arrested and is being held in the Lorain County jail on charges of aggravated drug trafficking and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
