UPDATE: Ohio Baseball Season Opener Cancelled
< < Back to ohio-baseball-season-opener-cancelledThe Ohio Bobcats will have to wait another week to run on to the diamond for the first time in 2014.
Ohio coach Rob Smith announced via his Twitter account that the Bobcats’ series with Western Carolina, which was scheduled to begin on Saturday, has been canceled due to the inclement weather throughout North Carolina.
Smith also said via Twitter that Ohio is searching for a replacement opponent to play this weekend, but more than likely the Bobcats won’t begin the season until next weekend, February 21, when the team travels to Wilmington, N.C., for a three-team tournament with UNC-Wilmington and Liberty University.
Our series with Western Carolina has been cancelled due to snow.Hoping to find something this weekend but we may not start till next week.
