CLEVELAND (AP) – State tourism officials want visitors to the Republican National Convention to see more than just what Cleveland has to offer.

Guests at next week’s political shindig can ride on a Cedar Point roller coaster, parasail over Lake Erie and zip-line through Hocking Hills – all through virtual reality.

TourismOhio says convention attendees can explore state attractions using special goggles available at the agency’s bus, which will be parked outside the Quicken Loans Arena. Visitors can don the goggles and select a 360-degree experience from 16 videos.

What users see through the goggles changes as they move their heads in different directions.

The tourism agency also plans to use the technology in Cincinnati, which hosts the NAACP’s national convention July 16-20. Other events are in the works.
