Zanesville Shooter Placed On 2 Years of Community Control

Jamie Jarrett was placed on two years of community control and ordered to perform 100 hours of public service for transporting a man who fatally shot 61-year-old Charles Hooper inside the South Zanesville Burger King in October 2013.
The Zanesville Times Recorder reports that Jarrett, who was originally charged with two third-degree felonies for obstructing justice, also was ordered to complete an intervention group through the county probation department and to take part in the Genesis Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Program.
Jarrett took the stand during the trial of Timothy Daniel, the man who was recently convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in prison plus 14 years. Jarrett told the jury that once inside the truck, Daniel told him to "go go go go go," and later, that he had "aimed too high."
