Ohio Takes Sixth In The Pool At MAC Championships

Diver Morgan Srail led her team as she took first place in the three-meter dive with a score of 306.25. Four places later was her teammate Kristin Capcik at 323.05
Rachel Stearns was sure to get her name in the top standings in her final meet as a Bobcat, and that came in the 200-yard backstroke. She touched the wall at 2:00.52 to earn a seventh place finish.
Representing Ohio in the 100-yard freestyle finals was sprinter Haley Clark, who came in with a fifth place finish at 50.53.
Ending the competition was the 400-yard freestyle relay, with an Ohio team coming in seventh. A team made up of Casey Papp, Josie Barker, Addy Ferguson, and Clark finished in 3:25.24.
Akron won its first MAC title with 574 points, beating its opponents handily. Almost one hundred points behind first was Miami. Ohio earned sixth place with 362.
The MAC tournament ends the season for the ‘Cats as a whole. Some will move on to compete in the NCAA Zones tournament.
