Wednesday Forecast: Old Man Winter Not Gone Yet

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of East-Central and Southeast Ohio for Wednesday, along with a Wind Advisory for wind gusts up to 50 mph.

A strong area of low pressure will approach late Tuesday Night, bringing heavy rainfall and possible thunderstorms. Rain will continue through the early morning hours Wednesday .

Expect rain showers before 5 p.m. Wednesday and a chance for thunder. Temperatures will be in the 40s for most of the day, but will drop to the mid to low 30s by the evening. A rain/snow mix is expected for the evening hours Wednesday, with 1-3" of accumulating snow expected.

High pressure will make its way back into the region Thursday. Temperatures will remain chilly with highs in the upper 20s.  Temperatures will warm up Friday with highs in the mid 50s.

Another cold front will pass through over the weekend, bringing a slight chance for showers Saturday.

Wednesday: showers likely before noon transitioning to a wintry mix as temperatures continue to drop and winds pick up speed. | High: 48 around 12 a.m. | Wind: SW 10-15 mph

Wednesday Night: Snow Showers mainly after 5 p.m., accumulations of 1-3". | Low: 14      

Thursday: Mostly cloudy skies and colder. | High: 29   

Friday: Mostly sunny skies with more seasonal temperatures. | High: 54     

Saturday: Mostly cloudy skies with the slight chance for rain. | High: 51

Sunday: Partly cloudy skies and slightly cooler. | High: 44
