Unofficial Results from Gallia County
< < Back to unofficial-results-from-gallia-countyThe Gallia County Board of Elections posted the unofficial results of the general election results on their Facebook page around 10:19 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Republican Margaret Evans won the seat of County Court of Common Pleas by receiving 7,482 votes against the 4,582 votes that William Medley received.
The first seat for the County Commissioner went to Republican Brent Saunders, who ran unopposed.
The other County Commissioner seat went to Republican David Smith, who won with 6,144 votes against Independent Mark Danner’s 5,561 votes.
Republican Jason Holdren won 6,505 votes against Democrat Jeff Adkins’ 5,953 votes for the Prosecuting Attorney seat.
Republican Noreen Saunders won the Clerk of Common Pleas, running unopposed.
The County Sheriff seat went to Republican Matt Champlin, who received 6,737 votes against Democrat Joseph Browning’s 5,888 votes.
In other county seats, Republican J. Roger Walker won County Recorder, Republican Steve McGhee won County Treasurer, Republican Brett Boothe won County Engineer and Republican Daniel Whiteley won Coroner.
Gallia County residents also voted for local issues on Tuesday.
Voters in the City of Gallipolis voted 652 “yes” and 725 “no” to object the vote to increase the income for public safety operations and capital expenses by one percent.
The renewal of the fire protection and emergency medical services at a rate not exceeding one mill for five years in the townships of Clay, Green, Greenfield, Harrison and Perry all passed. Crown City residents voted for the renewal of fire protection.
