Ohio University Administration Recommending Tuition Increase For Next School Year
< < Back to ohio-university-administration-recommending-tuition-increase-next-school-yearOhio University President Roderick McDavis says he plans on recommending a 1.5 percent tuition and fee increase to the university’s Board of Trustees for the upcoming 2014-2015 academic year.
In an email to the university community McDavis says he’ll present the recommendation at the upcoming Trustees meeting.
“Such an increase would equal a $156 annual increase in tuition and fees per student,” McDavis wrote. “These additional resources will be invested in academic programs, financial aid, and facilities.”
The proposed tuition increase comes ahead of plans to implement the Ohio Guarantee Program which would lock tuition and fees for an incoming cohort of students for 12 consecutive semesters starting in the 2015 academic school year.
The Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for June 26th at Ohio University’s Eastern campus.
