Car Crash On US 50 And Radford Road Results In Life-Threatening Injuries
< < Back to ?p=18209A collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Athens Co. US50/32 has resulted in life-threatening injuries.
Officials say Boyd Bobo was driving a 1988 Chevrolet truck northbound on Radford Road and failed to yield at a stop sign.
An investigator at the scene said Bobo pulled onto US-50 into the path of a 1998 Cheverolet truck being driven by William Hoover of Williamsburg, OH.
According to the early reports of Ohio State Highway Patrol Sargent Aaron Hayes, Bobo was life-flighted to Grant Hospital in Columbus.
Hoover was also injured and was transported by Athens County EMS to O'Bleness Hospital.
Sgt. Hayes says that Bobo's view was blocked by a semi-truck.
"We would like to remind the public that when they approach a stop sign, they have the duty not only to stop but to look both ways before they cross the roadway or attempt to pull out, especially on four-lane highways."
The crash still remains under investigation.
