Men’s basketball: Ohio wins in shaky exhibition

Ohio men's basketball gets its regular season started this coming Sunday, November 13 at home against Tennessee-Martin, but the 'Cats were in action Tuesday in their only exhibition of 2011, and Ohio beat Mercyhurst (PA) 82-63.
Redshirt junior Walter Offutt scored 23 points to lead all scorers, and even though point guard DJ Cooper sat out the first half due to a violation of team rules, he finished with six points and a pair of assists.
