Steubenville Rape Convict Returns To School Football Team

WTOV-TV in Steubenville reports Ma'Lik Richmond played with the Steubenville High School football team in a scrimmage Tuesday against Cambridge.
Richmond was sentenced to one year in March 2013 for raping the West Virginia girl following an alcohol-fueled party. He was given the second-toughest sex offender classification -Tier II – last August.
The school's football coach Reno Saccoccia says Richmond did everything the judicial system asked of him, and he deserves a second chance.
An Ohio High School Athletic Association spokesman says it's up to the school to determine whether a student athlete participates.
