Introducing…The FRONTLINE Dispatch!
< < Back to introducing-the-frontline-dispatchPodcast Season Premieres September 14
Today, FRONTLINE is announcing the launch of The FRONTLINE Dispatch, narrative podcasts that expand the series’ tradition of deeply reported long-form journalism. This is a great opportunity for FRONTLINE fans in your market to subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or RadioPublic and not miss a single riveting installment!
Each episode of The FRONTLINE Dispatch, introduced by Series Executive Producer Raney Aronson-Rath, will focus on uncovering crucial domestic and international stories, and will unfold with the sensibility of FRONTLINE’s award-winning documentaries. These reports, however, will cover different ground, be told natively for audio, and be narrated by reporters around the country and the world.
The FRONTLINE Dispatch’s first season begins Thursday, September 14, with an exploration into child marriage in America. New episodes on second chances for juvenile lifers, a community divided over fracking, and more will be released biweekly on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, RadioPublic and other podcast apps, and at pbs.org/frontlinedispatch. Jay Allison, the creator of The Moth Radio Hour, is senior editor and creative director, and the show will be distributed by PRX.
“At FRONTLINE, now and always, we are committed to in-depth, transparent journalism — and we care deeply about reaching audiences wherever they are, with stories that are vital and authentic,” says FRONTLINE Executive Producer Raney Aronson-Rath, who will introduce each episode of The FRONTLINE Dispatch. “Extending our storytelling into the podcast realm, in a native way that brings all the depth and quality our audience expects from FRONTLINE’s documentaries, is a natural next step.”
