The Senate approved the bill 22-11 Monday to permit liquor sales after 1 p.m. on Sundays.
The bill now goes back to the House of Delegates, which had earlier approved the bill. The House must now weigh in on an amendment that no liquor sales can occur on Christmas or Easter when those days fall on a Sunday.
