Skyway Man II Gladden House Sessions 2019
< < Back to skyway-man-ii-gladden-house-sessions-2019James Wallace brought his esoteric folk futurism project Skyway Man to the Gladden House Friday, June 17.
Once known best as James Wallace & the Naked Light, Wallace’s current artistic endeavors are informed strongly by UFO religion and a bizarre series of events which led him to discover a trove of letters penned by a ufologist, and eventually to record Seen Comin’ From a Mighty Eye (Yewknee Records, 2017).
Joining Wallace at the Gladden House was Caleb Hickman (saxophone and keys), Pinson Chenselle (bongos), Juan Solorzano (bass), and Sean Thomson (electric guitar). Their set started with “Old City River” from Seen Comin’ from a Mighty Eye (Yewknee Records, 2017), followed by “Muddy Water” from the forthcoming Common Void (2019), and ended with the unreleased “Sometimes Darkness (in the Mind).
