Student at Shawnee State University Tests Negative for COVID-19
< < Back to ?p=250746PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WOUB) — Shawnee State University announced test results were negative for a student who was being monitored for COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).
Two other students were quarantined, and “were determined by the Ohio Department of Health to not need additional testing.”
The students traveled outside the country over spring break, the university said in a statement earlier this week.
Classes will continue as scheduled this week. All in-person classes will be cancelled from March 16-20, to allow faculty time to transition to an online format. In-person classes will transition to an online format from Monday, March 23 to Sunday, April 12.
Any classes that were already online will not be cancelled, and will continue on a regular schedule.
