Sheriff Richard Henderson says he received a call from a local hospital yesterday concerning a child abuse complaint.
Henderson says the boy suffered severe injuries and was taken by helicopter to Columbus.
His mother, Amber Silcott, 18, and her boyfriend, Scott Riley, 22, were questioned at the sheriff's office.
Both are charged with Child Endangering. They were taken to the Scioto County Jail and bond is set at $30,000. Silcott and Riley are scheduled for arraignment December 19.
Henderson says there may be additional charges.
