Bereavement Nature Walk Scheduled for October 15^th in Vinton County

Athens – OhioHealth Hospice and Rural Action are co-sponsoring a walk through the Vinton County Experimental Forest from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, October 15^th.  Research has shown that spending time in nature has a profound and calming effect on our bodies and minds. Walking is a mood booster and a great form of exercise. Bringing the two together in a nature walk offers a way to process and cope with grief after the death of a loved one.

OhioHealth Bereavement Counselor Kelsey Funk will offer resources for the grieving and Rural Action’s Joe Brehm will provide information about the fall foliage.  This walk is free and open to the public.  Please RSVP to Kelsey at 740-517-4321 before October 14^th for directions to the beginning of the walk.
