Name Of Driver Released In Fatal Crash

The name of the driver of a semi who was killed in a crash in Athens County Wednesday morning has been released.

Troopers say Philip Malott, 49, of Dayton was driving the semi that crashed along U.S. 50/State Route 32 near Dixon Road about 5:00 a.m.

Troopers say Malott was killed after running off the road and hitting the guardrail and sign pole.

The road was closed for about three hours following the crash.
