The Cadets jumped out in front early, thanks to a 22-yard passing touchdown from Grady Hesson to Clayton Miller.
After a big defensive stand in which Fort Frye forced and recovered a fumble, the Cadets capitalized as Hesson punched in a touchdown from less than a yard out to put the Cadets up 14-0.
Miller punched another touchdown in for Fort Frye from a yard out with just one second left in the half to extend their lead to 20-0.
Fort Frye controlled the clock in the second half, and junior Tyce Beardsley took two long jet sweep counters to the house in the fourth quarter to extend the Cadets’ lead to 35-0.
Waterford was able to get on the board, as quarterback Hayden Jones took a scramble to the house, but unfortunately for the Wildcats, they wouldn’t see the end zone for the rest of the game.
Next week the Cadets will look to keep rolling when they host Harrison Central, and the Wildcats will look to bounce back at home against Nelsonville-York.
