Several candidates vying for seats in the Ohio Legislature are hoping to tap into lingering voter anger over the state's now-rejected collective bargaining law.

Contenders in Tuesday's primary contests include public workers who were against the union-limiting bill passed last spring by the Republican-controlled General Assembly. Sixty-two percent of voters rejected the measure in November.

One Republican candidate has used his opposition to the legislation to distinguish himself in a three-way contest that includes an incumbent state representative who voted for the bill. Several Democratic candidates say they were drawn into the race because they helped fight the union law.

Republicans have three Ohio Senate primaries and 18 Ohio House matchups, including one write-in contender. Democrats have 14 House contests and no Senate races.
