< < Back to ems-director-resigns-following-commissioners-meetingA day after being told by the county commissioners to shape up, Athens County Emergency Medical Services Director Corey Lenigar has resigned.
In the resignation letter, Lenigar writes to commissoners, "it is obvious to me that I will never meet the expectations you gentlemen have for the position."
Lenigar's resignation is effective April 23.
Lenigar met with the commissioners in executive session Monday and was told to communicate better with them and with EMS workers.
This followed another meeting earlier in the day when employees criticized Lenigar for various problems.
