Ceremony Honors Ohio Civil War Soldiers

The Ohio National Guard honored 19 Ohio soldiers for their role in a raid 150 years ago.
The men took part in Andrews' Raid to capture a train traveling from Atlanta to Chattanooga.
They were captured during the process.
"Most of all, like many Civil War stories, the history of the Andrews' Raid, is a story of ordinary men, far from home, called to do extraordinary things, in service to their country," said Sgt. First Class Joshua Mann of the Ohio National Guard.
The ceremony took place Thursday morning at the Statehouse.
The men conducted their raid during the Civil War and three months later, President Abraham Lincoln signed a law creating the medal of honor.
A plaque also honors the unit for their actions.
