Update: Car Crashes Into Cambridge Courthouse
< < Back to car-crashes-courthouseUpdate: Ohio troopers say a car reported stolen sped through city streets at an estimated 100 mph before crashing into an eastern Ohio courthouse.
State Highway Patrol Sgt. Bob Robson says all six people in the vehicle were injured in the crash early this morning in Cambridge. He did not know their conditions. Four were flown 75
miles away to Columbus for treatment.
Robson says a lower window was broken on the Guernsey County Courthouse.
He says a trooper pursued the car from Interstate 77 to I-70 but then lost it when it sped off an exit into Cambridge. He says the car was later found at the courthouse, where it struck a historical marker and park bench, then hit the building's steps and flipped over.
Investigators suspect alcohol was involved.
A car with six people crashed into the Guernsey County Courthouse early this morning.
Police say it was stolen and the accident happened after a high speed chase.
All six occupants were transported to a Cambridge hospital and four were later taken by helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
