School Districts Explore Shared Services
< < Back to school-districts-explore-shared-servicesTwo Belmont County school districts will look into the possibility of sharing administrative services, thanks to some grant money.
The Barnesville and Union Local school districts received $100,000 to explore sharing services through Project Share.
The grant money will allow for some research into how non-union positions could be used in both districts.
District officials say this is not an attempt to consolidate.
Five possible areas that the study will evaluate are special education, curriculum coordination, operations, the treasurer and superintendent.
