Perry County Company Fixes Pollution Problem After Ohio EPA Steps In

A Perry County company that distributes industrial sands has fixed air pollution control violations at its facility in Glenford.
That comes at the request of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

The Ohio EPA says a wet scrubber was supposed to capture the sands, but emissions of fine particles were "not controlled to the degree that they should have been."
The agency also says the company "failed to properly monitor and record the wet scrubber's liquid flow rate and pressure drop."
