Teen Dies In Ironton Crash

A 16-year-old from Lawrence County died Sunday in a crash in Ironton.
A release from the Ironton Police Department says officers responded to a four-vehicle accident about 8 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the teen trapped in a 1995 GMC pick-up truck.
The jaws of life had to be used in order to get the teen out of the truck.
Officers found during the investigation that the teen lost control of the truck while heading northbound on South 8th Street.
The teen's truck then struck a parked car, knocking it into a yard.
The truck then hit another parked vehicle, knocking it into a third parked vehicle, and that is where the truck came to rest.
The 16-year-old was transported to the St. Mary's Medical Center Ironton location, where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the teen is not being released at this time.
