Cambridge Stabbing Victim In Fair Condition
< < Back to stabbing-cambridgeUPDATE 9:52 a.m. A Cambridge man, stabbed in front of a Steubenville Avenue residence on Wednesday morning, is now in "fair" condition.
24-year-old Stephen Ford III was reportedly stabbed in the back across the street from City Hall in Cambridge just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officials at Southeastern Med, where Ford was treated, following the incident, said Thursday morning that the victim's condition had improved to "fair."
He was originally listed as being in "serious" condition.
According to Captain Randy LePage of the Cambridge Police Department, a suspect – a 28-year-old male from Cambridge – turned himself in at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials would not comment on a motive for the stabbing, as their investigation into the incident continues. Charges against the suspect, who is now in the Guernsey County Jail, are pending.
A 24-year old Cambridge man was stabbed in front of Cambridge City Hall this morning.
A suspect – a 28-year-old male, also from Cambridge – is said to be in custody.
The names of those involved have not yet been released.
The victim's condition is also unknown at this time.
