Ohio Tax Credit Authority Assists In Job Creation In Southeast Ohio

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved of assistance Monday for 3 projects in Southeast Ohio that aim to create 470 new jobs.

CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc., an information technology and business services provider in Athens County, was approved for a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

The company expects to create 150 full-time positions and to generate $6.2 million in new annual payroll.

Fanatics, Inc., an online retailer of officialy licensed sports merchandise in Muskingum County, was approved for a 65 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit. 

Fanatics expects to create 270 full-time positions and to generate $6.7 million in new annual payroll.

Geo-Tech Polymers LLC in Pike County was approved for a 40 percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

They expect to create 50 full-time positions and to generate $1.4 million in new annual payroll.

The company specializes in recycling coated plastics used in consumer and automotive applications.

Overall, the tax authority board approved 17 projects statewide that will create 1,300 new jobs and retain 2,728 jobs.
