OU Student Hospitalized After Falling From Richland Avenue Bridge

An unidentified Ohio University student has been transported to a Columbus hospital after reportedly jumping off the Richland Avenue bridge.
The Athens Police Department responded to the area of Richland Avenue and Oxbow Trail in Athens shortly after 8 p.m on Monday, where the 19-year-old male was then transported to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.
According to police, the male was later transported to Grant Hosptial in Columbus by medical helipcoter.
The students name has not been released, pending parental notification.
