Herman Invited To NFL Combine

Now, the Oregon, Ohio native who has earned the nickname “Iron Man” has been given a golden opportunity to showcase his talents in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams.
Herman attached an invitation to the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine on his Twitter and Instagram accounts earlier today along with the caption, “For those that didn’t know, I am very blessed to have this opportunity.”
This past season, Herman earned First Team All-League honors from sportswriter and analyst Phil Steele and Second Team All-Conference honors from the Mid-American Conference. He helped pave the way for redshirt junior running back Beau Blankenship, who set Ohio’s single-season rushing record with 1,604 rushing yards. Herman rebounded from an elbow injury suffered against Kent State to start in Ohio’s Independence Bowl victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Dec. 28.
In 2011, Herman garnered All-MAC Second Team, Phil Steele All-MAC Second Team and Collegesportsmadness.com All-MAC First Team honors and helped lead the ‘Cats to their first ever bowl victory, a 24-23 triumph over Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
CBSSports.com ranks Herman 38th among offensive guards in the class of 2013 and 721st overall.
LaVon Brazill was the only Bobcat to participate in the combine a season ago. Brazill was selected in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, and finished his rookie season with 12 receptions for 203 yards and a touchdown.
The combine will take place from Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis, Ind.
