Trustees approved the $7.5 million design and site preparation phase of the Housing Development Plan that will renovate and build new student dormitories on the South Green.
The board also approved $13.7 million in renovations to three buildings on the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s new campus in Dublin. The project will renovate approximately 71,000 square feet. Classes are scheduled to start in there in 2014.
Other approved projects include:
$1.6 million to upgrade HVAC and electrical systems in the Computer Service Center
$800,000 for the artificial turf replacement in Peden Stadium
$760,000 for renovations to the third floor of the Hudson Health building
The projects are being paid for through a combination of university funds and bonds issued by the university.
The board is expected to vote on final approval for the $12.5 million multi-purpose facility during the next scheduled meeting in April.
