Unique Spring Break Opportunity Lets Students Give Back

Ohio University's Campus Involvement Center is offering students the opportunity to spend their spring break helping the less fortunate in Appalachia.
The seven students currently registered, and anyone else who would like to sign up, will spend the week giving back to the local community through a series of service projects having to do with environmental and social justice.
The Campus Involvement Center's community service program has partnered with Rural Action and United Campus Ministry (UCM) for the project.
The trip will begin on Wednesday, March 6 with an overview and a chance to get to know the other participants.
After that, volunteers will embark on a series of projects including feeding the hungry at a UCM supper, cleaning up the Monday Creek watershed area, and assisting in a trail-building project near Union Furnace.
