Dennis DeYoung returns to PBS with a concert from the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. Taped in March 2014, the concert showcases the legendary Dennis DeYoung and his six-piece band performing all the Styx Greatest Hits spanning the 70s, 80s and 90s. A founding member of Styx, Dennis is a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, composer and record producer. With one of the most recognizable voices in the music world, Dennis continues to inspire new generations of fans. This intimate concert captured for PBS viewers includes unforgettable hits such as “Lady,” “Babe,” “Come Sail Away” and “Mr. Roboto.” DENNIS DEYOUNG AND THE MUSIC OF STYX is part of special programming premiering on PBS stations in March 2019.
In 2002, WTTW, the PBS member station in Chicago, filmed Dennis DeYoung with his band, a 50-piece symphony orchestra and The Chicago Children’s Choir for the pilot of the PBS SOUNDSTAGE series. The program DENNIS DEYOUNG AND THE MUSIC OF STYX WITH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA first aired on PBS in 2004.
