Beginner-friendly Scottish Dance Class

Work out your brain and body and meet new friends!
Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun!
10 – 10:30 — Beginner half-hour and warmup. Absolutely no experience or partner necessary!
10:30 – 11:10ish — Beginner/intermediate time — everyone should find something to enjoy! (Plus a tasty snack.)
11:10ish – noon — Intermediate/advanced time. We’ll learn dances to prepare for nearby balls and other events! (Beginners are welcome to leave early or stay and watch.)
Location: Athens Public Library
Cost: Free!
Attire: Clothes you can move in! Sneakers or ghillies are great on your feet. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all great. Masks are optional but encouraged since social distancing is not possible.
