Bio: Dr. Anderson was born in Moline, Illinois and grew up in East Moline. He is a graduate of Augustana College. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Kansas State University in 1967. After being transferred from Circleville, Ohio, he came to Parkersburg in 1977 as a DuPont employee. He joined the Blennerhassett Island project in 1994 along with his wife Cynthia Anderson. He became the Chairman of the Blennerhassett Garden Committee and has overseen the most recent completion of the reconstruction of the Island’s “Pleasure Garden”. He is the longtime Chairman of the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park’s Blennerhassett Historical Foundation’s Archaeology Committee. He has for years been a member of the WVa and Ohio archaeological societies.
