Join us for free live music in the park! Y-City Stompers, an ensemble from within Zanesville Memorial Concert Band, will perform a variety of selections in Dixieland style.

Dixieland is a style of jazz that is based on the music that developed in New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century. Considered the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans in the early 20th century was a densely populated city with many cultures living close to each other. It was these conditions that allowed jazz, the only indigenous music of the United States, to grow and flourish.
