The Greater Huntington Symphonic Band, directed by Mr. Tom Thompson, will perform its annual spring concert on Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. in the Spring Valley High School Auditorium in Westmoreland, WV. The 75-member concert band draws its membership from the greater tri-state area and from all walks of life including students, retirees, and working professionals. Several musical selections based on Spanish and Afro-Cuban dances and popular marches will be featured along with Elegy, a newly composed work written by current band member, Christian L. Thomas. Admission is free, but donations to support the purchase of band music will be accepted.
