Athens Fire Department and American Red Cross personnel will visit owner-occupied homes on the East Side of Athens on Saturday, October 22nd beginning in mid-morning.   Free smoke alarms and information on fire safety as well as escape plans will be offered.  Athens Fire Department will also give away fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors while they last.
